Weekly attendance is certainly required, and limited absences must be excused by your course instructor in advance. Cash or check is required to participate in weekly meetings, or you are stuck with an absence. Typically gathering more than 3 absence during the course of the program will result in the need to start from the beginning. Starting the San Diego DUI Program from the start again is not fun!
You of course have to go back to court, with your attorney, get re-enrolled in the course, and then you can start over. Please treat your attendance with the utmost importance if you are enrolled in the San Diego DUI Program.

Minimize your San Diego DUI Program!
Please note that if you are arrested and expecting to be sentenced to a San Diego DUI program you have the ability to enroll yourself early while you are going through the court process. Many individuals take advantage of this so that they can get started and get the DUI classes behind them, as the court processing can often take 3-6 months.
You should be aware however that if you are 4 months into a San Diego DUI Program and you are just closing out your charges in court, you may be forced to start the program from the very beginning. This will result in a loss of the money and time invested in attending the first 4 months of classes.

San Diego DUI Programs Schedules
San Diego DUI Programs are offered across 4 primary facilities. They offer a range of programs based on the requirements set forth by your final outcome in court. The shortest of the programs is 12 hours, while more commonly recommended programs are 12 months up to 18 months.
Many people arrested for DUI also may be forced to enroll in anger management courses, as many people under the influence act out aggressively when confronted. If anger management is part of your DUI penalty, expect a weekly course for anger management as well as one for alcohol specifically.
